Lunch After A Tour Of The Aber Falls Distillery

After visiting the Penderyn Distillery in Llandudno, we decided to see how the Aber Falls Distillery compared.

After the tour, we decided to stay for lunch at the café in the visitor center. The menu was small but offered a good variety, including food, coffee, and, naturally, a selection of whiskies. After sampling a few during the tour, we thought it best to start with coffee—one of us had to drive, after all! The coffee wasn’t remarkable, but it did the job.

For lunch, we opted for a couple of small plates. Mrs. Jomo chose the Welsh Rarebit, while I went for the Mini Chicken Fillets, and we shared a side of skin-on fries. The Rarebit was tasty, though the mustard was a bit overpowering, and while the chicken was filling, it wasn’t particularly memorable. With the added fries, though, it made for a satisfying lunch, and overall, we were both pleased with our meals.

Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable day at the distillery. The tour was engaging, and the tasting session was, as always, a highlight. Lunch was pleasant, satisfying, and good value for money. If you’re passing by and have a couple of hours to spare, it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
