Unexpected Stop At The Coffee Carriage

Due to a disruption on Merseyrail, my trip to Preston only made it as far as Maghull before the trains came to a halt. Thankfully, I discovered that Maghull station now has a cozy coffee shop – The Coffee Carriage.

It has a pleasant atmosphere, though I imagine it could feel a bit snug during peak hours. The coffee is great, and they offer a variety of hot food and pastries. You can even pre-order Sunday afternoon tea.

The staff were attentive to customers, friendly and helpful. Going out of their way to assist two vulnerable customers.

While it wasn’t the day of train travel I had planned, it turned out to be a nice spot to spend a couple of hours.
