Coffee, the Thames & A Slow London Morning

I rode the River Bus up the Thames from Canary Wharf to the Embankment stop. One of the best ways to see London from a completely different angle. There’s something about arriving by river that already makes the city feel a little more special. Stepping off the boat, the Clipper Lounge at Embankment immediately caught my eye.

It looked like exactly the kind of place to start the day properly, so I headed straight in and ordered a coffee. I found a seat by the window, settled in, and just took in the view for a while — the Thames drifting past, the city going about its morning. One of those small, unhurried moments that make a trip worth taking.

After a pleasant half hour it was time to move on and start exploring.
