Eleven ‘O’ One Tommy At Seaham

An early morning visit to Seaham and a chance to capture some sunrise images of Eleven ‘O’ One Tommy. A statue of a First World War soldier by artist Ray Lonsdale, displayed close to Seaham war memorial.

It depicts a First World War soldier at the end of World War I. It is officially named 1101 (or Eleven-O-One), referring to the first minute of peace as the armistice came into force.
