I had a midweek day off and decided to go out for a late breakfast. After a quick search, we headed to St Helens to try Toast Coffee House and Café. Luckily, we found street parking right outside, which could otherwise be an issue.

We arrived during the breakfast rush, so seating was limited, but they offer a cozy covered outdoor space. It was just as inviting, though probably not ideal for the depths of winter. Despite technically sitting outside, the staff were quick to greet us and take our order once we settled on breakfast.

Our lattes arrived in traditional glass cups, accompanied by a Biscoff—always a nice touch. We both opted for breakfast barms: egg, sausage, and hash brown. I chose scrambled egg, while Mrs. Jomo went for fried. The food was served promptly, and it was well-cooked, filling, and delicious.

Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff and a good menu selection. Quick service adds to the positives. However, parking could be an issue—if you time it wrong, you might end up leaving hungry. Despite that, we’d definitely go again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
